Paul Didier, President and CEO
Paul has
been with United Way of Santa Barbara County since 1974. With his
previous experience as a Certified Financial Planner and real estate
broker, he has applied his market-driven innovations to United Way and
other non-profit organizations. He has also consulted with universities,
hospitals, environmental groups, and other social service agencies. |

Jerry Newton, Director for Financial Services
Jerry has been with United Way of Santa Barbara County since 1994. A
native of Santa Barbara, he has nearly 40 years of experience in the
finance/accounting field. Jerry worked as an auditor/tax preparer for a
local CPA firm in the 1960s, and later became the finance director of a
local television station. He has also managed his own
accounting practice in Phoenix, Arizona before returning to Santa
Barbara.

 Judy Goodbody,
Gift Planning Services Officer
Judy has been with United Way of
Santa Barbara County since 2000. Judy is a Registered Investment
Principal and a licensed tax consultant. She was a credit union
investment advisor prior to joining the staff at United Way,
where she oversees endowment and gift planning programs and
assists donors and their professional advisors with complex
charitable giving.

Steve
Ortiz, Director for Workplace Development
Since 2005, Steve's responsibilities at United Way have included
workplace and corporate fundraising, volunteer management,
agency relations, event planning, strategic planning and
marketing. Before joining United Way, Steve was a Financial
Manager- Contract Negotiations and Purchasing for a local
organization. He has also served as a loan consultant and
financial advisor in Los Angeles. In 2004, Steve completed three
Bachelor Degrees at the University of California Santa Barbara -
Business/ Economics, Global Studies with an emphasis in
Economics and Politics, and Spanish. Recent accomplishments
include UCSB’s Seventh Annual Business Plan- First Prize Award
for Excellence in Business Writing. Specialty Merchandise
Corporation and the University of California Writing Program
sponsored the award. |

Jerry Bellamy, Project Leader, Power of Partnership
Initiative
Jerry
has been involved with the Santa Barbara community since 1973,
working with Our Lady of Guadalupe and St. Raphael Parishes and
as Director of Youth Ministry for Santa Barbara County. Bellamy
enjoyed a successful management career in the electronics and
insurance industries, including Joslyn Electronics, before
transitioning full time to the nonprofit sector. His most recent
position was in the Development Department at the Santa Barbara
Trust for Historic Preservation. Bellamy attended St. John’s
seminary in Camarillo and did post-graduate work at St. John’s
Theology.
Bellamy has been honored with the Amigo del Año award for
Community Involvement by the Santa Barbara Concilio de la Raza
and has served on the boards of Open Roads, Child Abuse
Listening & Mediation (CALM), and Old Spanish Days. He has
taught English as a Second Language at SBCC Adult Education for
twenty-four years. |
