United Way of Santa Barbara County will host the 22nd Annual Day of Caring on Saturday, September 28 2013. Day of Caring has become a tradition with local charitable organizations like Alpha Resopurce Center, Isla Vista Youth Projects, Goleta Valley Beautiful, and Casa Esperanza. Teams of volunteers from schools, workplaces and churches across the county gather to complete these much-needed tasks.
Projects include: painting indoors and outdoors, planting gardens and trees, sorting and organizing contributed goods, general repairs, beach cleanup, office work and even building adobe bricks!
Day of Caring is made possible by organizations in our community partnering to show their support through sponsorships. We would like to give your organization the opportunity to be recognized as directly giving back to your community on this one special day. Sponsorships contribute to the total event costs as well as to the Volunteer Kick-Off Breakfast at the Page Youth Center to honor volunteers and sponsors participating in Day of Caring.
There are so many ways for your organization to be recognized for your support! If applicable, the name and logo of your organization will be included in advertisements, public service announcements, and special interest pieces appearing in: Pacific Coast Business Times, SBParent.com, Noozhawk, The Independent, Cox Communications, Santa Barbara News-Press, K-LITE 101.7, K 97.5, and more.
