The annual “Holiday Bash” brings together all of
United Way’s donors and friends to celebrate a great year! We provide
updates on the Community Campaign and give awards to outstanding
individuals and organizations that have been great supporters of United
Way and our community. The evening is always filled with music, fun, and
friends.

Holidays & Community Campaign

United Way of Santa Barbara County hosted their
annual Holiday Bash event on Wednesday, December 5th, 2007 at Fess Parker's
DoubleTree Resort. Over 170 guests gathered to celebrate the holiday season
and get an update on United Way's 2007-2008 Community Campaign. The evening
began with holiday themed songs from the phenomenal Dos Pueblos High School
Jazz Choir & Combo. Hosting the evening's event was Community Campaign Chair
and Superintendent of Santa Barbara City School District Brian Sarvis,
and Campaign Cabinet member and Santa Barbara Bank & Trust's Cynder Sinclair.
The evening continued with an awards ceremony to recognize outstanding
individuals and organizations who have contributed their time and talent to
helping their community. Honors for the evening went to:

A special mention of the Leadership Circle Co-chairs David & Cris Prichard,
and Alexis de Tocqueville Co-chairs Jim & Marcia Wolfe, was made to honor
all of their hard work and dedication. Katherine Abercrombie was
also recognized for her long-term volunteerism with Red Feather Ball. She was
named "Honorary Chair in Perpetuity" by the Board of Directors in August.
