Many of the guests have said, "I felt as if I walked into a dream."
Excitement over this year's 8th Annual Red Feather Ball has been heard all around
town. The success of the event is unmatched in our United Way history. We reached
new heights in dollars raised, and the sold-out crowd certainly did not want to
leave once Soul City Survivors took the stage for their live performance.
On Saturday, October 16, 2004, over 300 community members celebrated the extraordinary
contributions of Abercrombie Community Excellence Award honorees, Michael Towbes
and Montecito Bank & Trust.
Proceeds from this gala underwrite United Way's Linkages, which focus on solving
community problems through collaboration. For the coming year, United Way of Santa
Barbara County has developed collaborations with an average of six charities for
each of these Linkages; Fun in the Sun; Assets for Santa Barbara Youth;
Campership
Alliance; Caring for Caregivers; South County Mobile Food Pantry;
Gatekeeper; Safe Point. United Way's Linkages accomplish more than what money alone can provide.

the success of this wonderful event. The support of the following sponsors and
