Joseph E. Holland has been elected to the board of directors at United
Way of Santa Barbara County.
Holland was elected to the Office of Clerk, Recorder, and Assessor in
2002 and reelected in 2006. As the County Clerk, Recorder and Assessor,
he oversees a multifaceted department that provides election,
recordation and property assessment services to residents of Santa
Barbara County.
He holds a bachelor and master’s degree in business economics from UCSB.
Holland also graduated from the UCLA Executive Program at the Anderson
School of Business and holds the designation of a Certified Public
Finance Officer (CPFO) from the nationally recognized Government Finance
Officers Association.
Holland has served as a United Way of Santa Barbara County volunteer for
over 20 years and currently serves as the chairperson for the FEMA
Emergency Food and Shelter Program. He and his wife Kathy and their
three children live in Goleta.
