Nahra and Wigle New Community Campaign Chair and Deputy Chair for United Way of Santa Barbara County
News Release-April 2008


 

United Way of Santa Barbara County’s 2008-2009 Community Campaign will be led by Lynda Nahra, President and CEO of Community West Bank and John Wigle, President of AGIA. Ms. Nahra will lead this year’s campaign season as Chair and Mr. Wigle will assume the role of Deputy Chair. The Chairs’ main role is to provide leadership, direction and support to the Campaign Cabinet to ensure a successful campaign.

Lynda Nahra has been the President of Community West Bank since 2000 and CEO since 2004. Under Ms. Nahra’s leadership, the bank has added branches in Santa Maria, Westlake Village and downtown Santa Barbara. In 2005 and 2006, Ms. Nahra was named one of the “Top 25 Women to Watch in Banking” by U.S. Banker Magazine. In addition to her support of United Way of Santa Barbara County, Ms. Nahra is an active member of the Rotary Club of Montecito, Goleta Montessori Center School and Habitat for Humanity.

As President of AGIA (Association Group Insurance Administrators), John Wigle has built AGIA into the largest, privately held, Third Party Insurance Marketer and Administrator for Affinity Organizations in the country. Mr. Wigle is also an active member of the Professional Insurance Marketing Association (PIMA), the Wilderness Inquiry and the World President’s Organization. In addition to his supportive role at United Way as this year’s Campaign Deputy Chair, Mr. Wigle is also on the Board of Directors.
