L. Wenner has been elected to the Board of Directors at United Way of
Santa Barbara County.
Wenner retired from a 30-year career with McKinsey & Company in 2003
where he still maintains a relationship as a director emeritus. During
his career at McKinsey he led the firm’s North American
Telecommunications practice in Atlanta; he later opened and managed the
Miami office.
He has published dozens of articles in periodicals including The Wall
Street Journal, Harvard Business Review, Telephony, and others. Wenner
is a Phi Betta Kappa graduate of Yale University, holds a master’s
degree from Purdue University, and did postgraduate work at Harvard. He
and his wife Marilyn moved to Montecito in 2005 and have two grown
daughters. His hobbies include golf, tennis, and photography.
