Day of Caring
 Day
of Caring is a United Way run volunteer day. Community organizations
partner to support the largest single-day volunteering event in the
tri-counties. In just five hours on a Saturday morning in September,
over 1,000 volunteers will work at over 50 charity sites throughout
southern Santa Barbara to achieve $150,000 worth of results. Projects
accomplished through Day of Caring are painting, cleaning, yard work and
organizing, along with other tasks that local charities have not been
able to do throughout the year. Day of Caring is a great way to get
involved with the community in caring for itself and getting connected
with non-profits to make a difference for those in need.
