HOUSING IS KEY CALIFORNIA COVID-19 RENT RELIEF STATE PROGRAM

If your application was submitted before September 27, 2021, your application will be processed through the State of California. For questions regarding correspondence or the current status of your application if submitted before this date, please contact Yoseline Gonzalez at assistance@unitedwaysb.org.

If your application was submitted to the Housing is Key program before September 27th, you can check the status of your application by logging into the Neighborly application portal located here. United Way of Santa Barbara County is not involved in the decision-making process for rental assistance applications submitted to the Housing is Key program.

The Housing is Key Rent Relief program will not process any applications submitted on or after September 27th. If you are still in need of rental assistance due to the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic, you can apply for assistance through United Way of Santa Barbara County's Emergency Rental Assistance Program (ERAP). Applications submitted to the Housing is Key program will not be automatically transferred to ERAP. To apply for rental assistance via ERAP, a new application will need to be submitted through the online application portal located here. Submitted applications to the Housing is Key program, both before and after September 27th do not disqualify applicants from eligibility for the ERAP program.

For questions regarding the ERAP program, please contact the main office at United Way: (805)-965-8591
