We Are Stronger Together

APRIL 28, 2020

United Way of Santa Barbara County is grateful to be a part a resilient community comprised of incredible organizations who are dedicated to helping others. We are honored to work beside many nonprofits who are supporting our neighbors most impacted by the COVID-19 crisis.

The above “We Are Stronger Together” PSA highlights how our local Santa Barbara County community has come together to provide resources for those in need. Together, our community partners are providing reliable transportation, food delivery for seniors and families, application help, therapeutic support, daily lunches, financial support, utility assistance, and a variety of other services that are helping people weather this crisis while also preparing for the future.

One of United Way’s roles in this community collaborative effort is to provide financial assistance grants to local individuals and families in need. To date, more than 800 households (representing more than 2,400 individuals) have received grants from United Way totaling $600,000. We are amazed by the generosity of our community which has made this possible. We plan to continue to provide assistance grants on a rolling basis as funding is available.

We’re humbled by the incredible support and kindness our community has shown in so many different ways. Thank you for staying home, staying safe, and caring for one another during this time. We couldn’t do it without you. We are truly #StrongerTogether805.
