United Way of Santa Barbara County is offering Rental Assistance grants to eligible individuals and families. Rental Assistance grants are currently available in the following cities/geographic areas:
The COVID-19 Emergency Rental Assistance program is providing limited rental assistance funds to eligible County of Santa Barbara residents, living in unincorporated areas of the County, and the cities of Buellton, Solvang, Carpinteria and Guadalupe that have experienced a loss of income due to the COVID-19 pandemic and can demonstrate the need for rental support.
Unincorporated cities include but are not limited to:
- Burton Mesa
- Eastern Goleta Valley
- Isla Vista
- Los Alamos
- Los Olivos
- Santa Ynez
- Vandenberg Village

There are strict eligibility requirements for this funding opportunity. If you are a student living in this area please click the Student Eligibility Requirements. For all other residents in the area, click the Resident Eligibility Requirements.
After you complete and submit your application, your application will be sent to Family Service Agency, United Way of Santa Barbara County’s contracted partner agency, for case management services. A representative from Family Service Agency will contact you to set up an appointment to review your application. Please do not contact Family Service Agency, they will contact you.
Any funds that you are awarded will be paid directly to your landlord.
