Paul Didier 

President & CEO

Paul Didier has been President and CEO of United Way of Santa Barbara County since 1978.  A Certified Financial Planner, a UCSB and Harvard MBA graduate, and a former real estate broker and syndicate with his own firm, he has applied for-profit, market driven innovations to United Way and other non-profit organizations.

Steve Ortiz  

Director of Workplace Development   

Since 2005, Steve has spearheaded United Way of Santa Barbara County's corporate and workplace development, marketing, strategic planning, volunteer management and the launch of the Young Leaders Society. Steve completed his bachelor degrees at the University of California Santa Barbara and is currently pursuing an MBA at Cal Lutheran University. Before joining United Way, Steve was the Financial Manager for the Devereux Foundation, California Operations.

Jerry Newton 

Director for Financial Services

Jerry has been with United Way of Santa Barbara County since 1994.  A native of Santa Barbara, he has nearly 40 years of experience in the finance/accounting field.  Jerry worked as an auditor/tax preparer for a local CPA firm in the 1960s, and later became the finance director of a local television station.  He has also managed his own accounting practice in Phoenix, Arizona before returning to Santa Barbara.

Judy Goodbody

Gift Planning Services Officer

Judy has been with United Way of Santa Barbara County since 2000. Judy is a Registered Investment Principal and a licensed tax consultant.  She was a credit union investment advisor prior to joining the staff at United Way, where she oversees endowment and gift planning programs and assists donors and their professional advisors with complex charitable giving.
